Sanctified Steps: It Is Well — Trusting God Before the Outcome Changes| 2 Kings 4:26 (KJV)

 📖 Scripture:

“And she answered, It is well.” — 2 Kings 4:26 (KJV)

Devotional:

Faith does not always shout.

Sometimes
it answers softly.

The Shunammite woman had received a miracle —
a son promised by God.

And then one day,
the promise stopped breathing in her arms.

She carried him upstairs.
Laid him on the prophet’s bed.
Closed the door.

When asked how things were,
she said only this:

“It is well.”

Not because it looked well.
Not because it felt well.
But because she believed
God was not finished.

There are moments in life
when what God gave
feels lost.

Dreams stall.
Prayers seem unanswered.
Hope feels fragile.

And yet —
faith chooses its words carefully.

“It is well.”

Not denial.
Not pretending.

But quiet confidence
that the story is still in God’s hands.

Sometimes the miracle begins
when we refuse to declare defeat.

Reflection:

• What situation in your life feels unfinished or uncertain?
• Are your words feeding fear or faith?
• Can you trust God even before the outcome changes?

Daily Wisdom Insight:

Peace spoken before the miracle
is still peace.

Practical Application:

Think of one area
where disappointment has tempted you to give up.

Instead of rehearsing the loss,
speak one sentence of trust.

Even if it feels small.

Let your words align
with your faith.

Prayer:

Father,

When what You promised feels distant,
help me hold steady.

Guard my heart
when circumstances shake my confidence.

Teach me to speak faith
even when I am still waiting.

Give me quiet strength
to trust that You are not finished.

I choose peace
before I see the proof.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
