Sanctifies Steps: When God Hides You, He’s Preparing You| Exodus 2:3 (KJV)

Baby Moses: Exodus 2:3

📖 Scripture:

“And when she could no longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.” Exodus 2:3 (KJV)

Devotional Reflection:

There are seasons when God tucks us away.
Not to restrict us.
Not to delay us.
But to protect us.

Moses’ mother hid him for three months, doing everything she could to shield him from danger. And when she could hide him no longer, she placed him in a basket — an act that looked fragile on the outside but was covered in God’s strength on the inside.

Sometimes your life feels like that basket.
A place of uncertainty.
A place where you wonder, “What happens next?”
But the currents that carry you are not random —
they are guided by the hand of God.

Jochebed released Moses into waters she couldn’t control,
but God guided him to a destiny she couldn’t imagine.

Hidden seasons are holy seasons.
God hides you until it’s time to reveal what He’s been shaping in you.
Protection is not rejection — it’s preparation.

And just like Moses,
the place where you feel most vulnerable
may be the very place where God is working out your purpose.

Reflection Questions:

• What areas of your life feel like “the basket” — uncertain but guided?
• How has God sheltered you in ways you didn’t recognize at first?
• What step of trust is God asking you to take in this season?

Daily Wisdom Insight:

Being hidden isn’t a setback — it’s God securing your future.

Prayer:

Lord,

When the path feels uncertain,
remind me that Your hand is guiding every detail.
When I feel hidden or overlooked,
teach me to see Your protection at work.

Help me trust the places You lead me,
even when the waters feel deep.
Strengthen my heart with the truth
that You are preparing me for purpose
far greater than I can see.

Cover me, guide me, and carry me forward
in Your perfect timing.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

💬 Discussion Prompt:

Where have you seen God protect you in ways you only understood later?

Sanctified Steps | Be Strong, For I Am With You |Haggai 2:4 (KJV)

Be Strong, For I Am God – Haggai 2:4

📖 Scripture:

“Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the Lord; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts.Haggai 2:4 (KJV)

Devotional Reflection:

There are moments when God’s call feels bigger than our confidence.
When the task before us — rebuilding, restoring, believing again — seems heavier than what our hearts can hold.

That’s where this verse steps in like a whisper from heaven:
“Be strong … for I am with you.”

God didn’t say, be fearless because you’re powerful.
He said, be strong because I’m present.

When Zerubbabel and the people of Judah faced the ruins of the temple, the work looked impossible. The memories of what once was seemed brighter than what could be.

But God reminded them — His glory isn’t locked in the past. His presence is in the now.

Whatever you’re building — a dream, a family, a new beginning —
you don’t stand in the rubble alone.
Strength isn’t summoned; it’s supplied.
And courage grows wherever His presence dwells.

So, pick up the pieces, breathe deep, and remember —
the same God who started the work is standing beside you to finish it.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What part of your life feels like “rebuilding” right now?
  2. How does knowing God is with you change how you face it?
  3. What small act of faith can you take today to keep building?

Daily Wisdom Insight:

Strength isn’t the absence of weakness — it’s the awareness of God’s nearness.

Prayer:

Lord,

When I feel small before the task,
remind me that Your presence is my power.

Help me to build, trust, and move forward
knowing You stand beside me.

Let my hands not grow weary,
and my heart not lose courage.

For You are with me —
and that is enough.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
